  Modulor - Application
Modulor however is Business Process Management (BPM) software departing from the people in process who interact to achieve results.
Modulor software uses the interaction model showing communication between people: how they interact and how they commit each other to get the work finalized.
Viewing and designing business processes in a way that coordination of people is emphasized gives focus to the complex part of a business process and not to the details of the activities itself.

  Le Modulor at the Beaubourg
Le Modulor (1950), a painting and collage by Le Corbusier, was donated by Crédit Immobilier de France, which wanted this work symbolising the desire to make man the universal measure of architecture to be a part of the collection, where it would represent a theme still of relevance today.
Le Corbusier (1887-1965) began studying Le Modulor in 1943 and presented it in a conference held in 1947.
Le Modulor is a measurement system which uses the standard dimensions of the human body to determine a grid of proportions, on the basis of which the master studied design of living space with the aim of putting an end to the disorder that rules in industrial production world-wide.

In the sequel to "Le Modulor", "MODULOR 2", Corbu describes how after development of the measurements Jose Luis Sert and other modern architects, and of course, he himself, applied them in designs.
Modulor), especially when compared to schemes that use the square as only proportioning scheme (see O.M.U.).
Without doubt: No. Because of the non-linear nature of the golden section, as clearly demonstrated in the Modulor derivations, it is possible to find some base length and some subdivisions close enough to the ratio of the golden section in anything that may be perceived as beautiful.

Golden Ratio in Art and Architecture
The Modulor was supposed to provide “a harmonic measure to the human scale, universally applicable to architecture and mechanics.” In the spirit of Vitruvian man and the general philosophical commitment to discover a proportion system equivalent to that of natural creation, the Modulor was based on human proportions.
Le Corbusier developed the Modulor between 1943 and 1955 in an era which was already displaying widespread fascination with mathematics as a potential source of universal truths.
The purpose of the Modulor was to "maintain the human scale everywhere".

Le Modulor lui apparait aussi comme le moyen de dépasser les deux systèmes de mesure qui divisent la planète.

The dimensions of the blue scale are double those of the red and the divisions of each scale are based on Ø the phi ratio, the ratio of growth in all living things and the basis of the Golden Section.
Thus the Modulor is not only an instrument of architectural proportion but also a means of ensuring that the buildings designed using it are of a human scale.
Le Corbusier's Modulor is based on the human figure and on the traditional inch/foot scale which is itself based on the human figure.

 The Journal of Design Research
With The Modulor, Le Corbusier intended to define an harmonic measure on a human scale that was applicable to architecture and mechanics (Boesiger and Girsberger, 1967; Evenson, 1970; Web-a).
The series of Le Corbusier’s Modulor system came from the idea that mathematical proportions could be found in human form, man-made artefacts and in a diversity of natural phenomena.
Xenakis used the Modulor to obtain a progression of rectangles on the same height, of differing widths, arranged in rows of changing densities to give the asymmetrical appearance.

Most striking to me, however, is the surface similarity between Le Modulor and the ideas of ChristopherAlexander as described at [1].
Le Modulor supposes that harmonious design can, must, proceed from a scale of proportions analogous to the scale of tones used in music.
However, Le Modulor really had a lot of modern architects (including several very famous British ones) seeking the grail of ideal proportional systems, partly as the search for order and meaning in their work.

Then assemble the three faces such that the grid is shown on the inside of the cube.
Use the grid to determine where you position the panels, the void between the solids (or the space between the panels) will then also have Modulor dimensions.

[One] important principle which Le Corbusier contributed to architecture is the "Modulor", a universal scale of measures which he developed between 1942 and 1955.
The "Modulor" represents an attempt to combine the English measuring system, which is based on the foot, with the metric decimal system and, at the same time, to establish relationships with human anatomical stature.
The "Modulor" is based on the golden section and the proportions of the human body.

 Zeising and Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier developed a scale of proportions which he called Le Modulor, based on a human body whose height is divided in golden section commencing at the navel. The Modulor in Le Corbusier's story combines square and Golden Section, but as a result it does not offer anything else than a modular system.
Le Corbusier's use of the Golden Section begins by 1927 at the Villa Stein in Garches, whose rectangular proportion in ground plan and elevation, as also the inner structure of the ground plan, approximately show the Golden Section.
To address these differences, attempts have been made to trace back the building's dimensions not to the Modulor but to the exact relations of the Golden Mean, but with little success.
