The New Light of Myanmar YANGON, 28 April — Kyundaw Bridge (Mo-gaung) on Mandalay-Shwebo-Myitkyina Union Highway in Mogaung Township, Mohnyin District, Kachin State, was commissioned into service yesterday. The reinforced concrete bridge is 366 feet long and supports a 26-foot wide motor road, flanked by 4-foot pedestrian lanes. The Gurkha Museum Tulbahadur's medals were presented to the Gurkha Museum in 2003 with those of Captain Michael Allmand, posthumously awarded a VC in the same action, The medals were presented by their Regimental Trust, 6th Queen Elizabeth's Own Gurkha Rifles, with the intention that they should hang together in the museum. Members of the Allmand family were there when the medals were presented as was Joanna Lumley whose father fought in the same action at Mogaung, Burma.
