Money bill - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Westminster system, a money bill or supply bill is a bill that solely concerns taxation or government spending (also known as appropriation of money), as opposed to changes in public law.
Money bills passed by the Lok Sabha are sent to the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of parliament, elected by the state and territorial legislatures or appointed by the president).
A money bill must be returned to the Lok Sabha within 14 days or the bill is deemed to have passed both houses in the form it was originally passed by the Lok Sabha.

Paper money could then be issued up to the amount of the capital, with the proviso that if bills were presented at the bank for redemption, they would be paid in current coins, American dollars, or their equivalent, such as Spanish-American dollars.
Such bills bore the name of the bank, its location, signatures of treasury officials in office when the printing plate was made, and the signatures of two bank officials: the cashier and the president.
Bills issued by National Banks from 1863 to 1929 in large format and small-sized bills issued from 1929 to 1935 are collected even more intensely than are those of state-chartered banks.

Money - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In common usage, money refers more specifically to currency, particularly the many circulating currencies with legal tender status conferred by a national state; deposit accounts denominated in such currencies are also considered part of the money supply, although these characteristics are historically comparatively recent.
The use of money provides an alternative to bartering, which is often considered to be inefficient because it requires a coincidence of wants between traders, and an agreement that these needs are of equal value, before a transaction can occur.
Money also is typically that which has the least declining marginal utility, meaning that as you accumulate more units of it, each unit is worth about the same as the prior units, and not substantially less.

Jamaica Gleaner - Seaga promises Money Bills - Wednesday | June 19, 2002
Seaga introduced the Bills in 1994 which called for 100 per cent backing of the local currency, a restriction on lending to the government by the Bank of Jamaica (BoJ), except temporarily in cases of emergency, and for those measures to be entrenched in the Constitution.
Insisting yesterday that the meltdown of the financial sector in the 1990s was due to mismanagement and a lack of understanding of the local economy, the Opposition Leader said legislation ought to be implemented to prevent the perennial ebb and flow of the economy.
"The failure to understand the role of money supply was the critical element that created the collapse and the failure to manage the problem was the second element of the failure," he said.

Were state bank notes bills of credit, thus falling under the prohibition of the Constitution?  The framers thought not, but their knowledge of such notes was based on the experience of only three commercial banks, all of which were specie-paying: the Bank of North America (c.
Without manufactured paper money to draw from, both would have had to resort to taxation, which was unpopular and would arouse the attention of the masses.

Real Bills, Phony Wealth - Mises Institute
It is crucial to understand that, in the workings of RBD, bills are to be funded not with the bank’s own equity capital, nor with savings loaned to the bank by its creditors. Bills are not funded at all in the economic sense of the term.
The purchase of the bill is therefore a of loan from the bank, but a curious sort of loan in which the funds for the credit were not previously loaned to the bank by anyone.
A bill payable at a future date is a credit instrument discountable at banks in advance of maturity, depending upon the credit of the parties signing the bill.

MEMORANDUM OF LAW: THE MONEY ISSUE
The history of money is surely as old as the history of mankind, but no attempt shall be made here to elucidate that full history other than to recount certain authoritative works of antiquity which without question affected the concepts of money in western civilization and particularly in English speaking countries, especially the United States.
A scarce metal is the most obvious form of money imaginable in that it is indestructible in comparison to precious stones, agricultural commodities and especially paper, and this indestructibility gives to it long life as a medium of exchange and thus it is capable of surviving all sorts of calamities, including changes in government.
To relieve this distress, paper money was issued, worthless lands and other property of no use to the creditor were made a tender in payment of debts; and the time of payment, stipulated in the contract, was extended by law.

 Finding a daily money manager
When tax time comes around, your daily money manager won't do your taxes, but he can get all of the paperwork together, and once your accountant figures your taxes out, your daily money manager can make sure the return is sent off in time.
The daily money manager can send you a monthly report detailing all of the transactions that took place, or you can request that you be alerted before money is paid off on certain debts such as credit card bills.
However, there could be other costs involved since daily money managers will charge you for outside fees incurred, such as the purchase of stamps for paying bills or the cost of long-distance calls for calling creditors or other bill collectors.

President A P J Abdul Kalam has given his assent to the Appropriation (Railways) No 3 Bill, 2002 and the Appropriation (Railways) No 4 Bill, 2002, said a law ministry release on Wednesday.
In the scheme of Constitution and the rule of law, the passage of the money bill by the Lok Sabha is enough, it said.
The Appropriation (Railways) No 3 Act, 2002, seeks to authorise payment and appropriation of a sum of Rs 400 crore (Rs 4 billion) from and out of the Consolidated Fund of India for the Railways for the current financial year 2002-2003.

Money has value only by law and not by nature so that a conviction of those who use it is sufficient to deprive it of its value and of its purchasing power.

House Passes Money Bills Before Congress Breaks for August Recess
The bill authorizes the expected amounts of aid for Israel and Egypt and includes the same provisions "with respect to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel" that were in the authorization bill last year, which Bush said he would ignore because they were an unconstitutional infringement on executive powers.
The bill does not specifically appropriate the expected $50 million in "refugee assistance" for Israel, but the report language accompanying the bill supports that it be provided.
The bill also includes a section called "Palestinian Statehood," which is identical to the same section included in the FY '03 Omnibus Appropriations bill passed last February and described in detail in the April issue of this magazine.

Safe Haven | Real Bills, Paper Money, and Monetary Purity
As I have been watching the discussion on Real Bills evolve, it has become increasingly apparent to me that the rejection of Professor Fekete's Doctrine of Real Bills is founded, at least in part, on the concept of Monetary Purity.
That is to say, that gold (or gold and silver) alone should be used as currency; any paper (ignoring the issue of its status as fiat or not) is to be quickly and harshly condemned as inflationary.
Whatever the solution is to satisfying the need for real money while balancing the desire for ease of use, it will not be easy to convince those in power to implement that solution without the understanding and backing of the majority of the public.

 Money Bills at The Absurdity
I don’t keep any in/under the mattress or coffee can or old cigar box and granted there’s not a lot of instances where I’m “peeling off those dollar bills,” but as long as there are places and business that take cash, I guess I’ll need to get some.
A few years ago, when I moved my money from a monopoly bank to a credit union, I was using the monopoly bank’s ATMs until they decided to spit-shine their image and provide the ATM “free” service only to their customers and begin charging everyone else.
But, what perplexes me the most is getting my $20 or $40 cash-back in freakin’ five dollar bills?!
