In an interview by Daniela Ionescu for Romania Libera, Monica Rosu revealed her decision to retire from gymnastics.
While in Japan, Rosu said she was asked to join an entertainment show but refused saying she didn’t want to sleep in a tent and move around the country, also she doesn’t know how to speak Japanese!
Rosu will concentrate on her baccalaureate exam and then enrol into the National Academy for Physics and Sport in Bucharest.

The Executive Committee of the RFG decided monday that gymnasts Monica Rosu and Alexandra Eremia will be temporarily excluded from the olympic squad until their their weight and medical problems are addressed.
Rosu has an interdiction again for a month, while Eremia is recovering after an apendectory.
The two had weight problems that have yet to be resolved and this was coupled with a lack of desire to train at maximum capacity for the Worlds." If the two will show at trails and at the upcoming Nationals that they've regained their form the door for their return will be open.

Monica Roşu (born May 11, 1987 in Bacău) is an artistic gymnast from Romania, who started gymnastics in 1991 at age four and trained during her early years at CSS Bacău.
Powerful and hardworking, Roşu was selected to train for the junior national team and left her family for Oneşti, then the site of the junior training center.
Held annually in Charleroi, Belgium, the Top Gym Tournament is one of the more prestigious international junior competitions.

In any case, as a blanket term we can refer to Rosu as "Catholic" because we know from articles that she is that at least.
Monica’s uncle is in charge of the Italian Ravenna Sport’s Club.

There is hardly a National or International competition where she has failed to achieve a medal.

The next day, 3 per country were to compete on each apparatus, but on vault only Rosu competed for Romania.

Kerry win the U.S.elections, Basescu (opposition candidate) win Presidency in Romania, Catalina Ponor and Monica Rosu will retire next year, coach Belu retire from Deva too, Oana Ban will have a fiancee by next April and Andreea Raducan will get engaged next year.
Romanian team will get the Gold in Beijing and also the largest medals number ever...
