While I have some appreciation for the magnitude of shoehorning Mono into Eclipse, I'm not the one that has to resource and staff such a project (and no, open source is not a panacea that can magically solve these sorts of problems).
Mono gets access to one the more sophisticated at runtime debugging tools on the planet, while DTrace becomes more functional and potential getting some of the Mono crowd looking at Solaris.
