It takes the thought out of the game, making it near impossible to keep track of what your opponents are doing, while forcing you to race through the game, inherently making mistakes as you go and hopefully inspiring you to laugh at the madness of it all.
Monopoly, whose cheery explanations don't really make the interface any easier to understand, in fact he'll put you to sleep faster then the manual, so I recommend doing the reading instead.
The game pieces are also replaced and instead of the thimble or the top hat, you can choose from fully animated characters such as astronauts and aliens, ogres and smithies, camels and chariots.

Nonetheless, the gist of the game is as follows: roll the dice and circle the board, buying or trading properties, building houses and hotels, and charging rent when your opponents land on them, in an attempt to bankrupt them.
In any game involving dice, half the fun is in trying to will the dice to land on the numbers you want, and the lack of an immediate visual reference puts a real crimp in any such telekinesis.
This is a great game to play with a friend or two or more.

I've been playing Monopoly on consoles since the 8-bit Sega Master System, and this is by far the worst UI I've seen yet in a Monopoly game.
This is a fun game if you like to sit back and just push a button instead of having to actually roll the dice and move your token like on the real board game.
You may enjoy this game if you are like me and like to sit back and have a none complex game that happens at your own pace and can be as involving as you want it to be.

The first thing that I have to say in this review is that while it could have been done better, this game is not as bad as everyone says it is. It is a solid attempt at putting a new spin on the game of monopoly.
This is easily the game with stupidest AI players in monopoly history and possibly in video game history.
The last problem I have with this game is that each person has to have their own controller and therefore only 4 people can play.

As most of you will probably know, the object of the game is to work your way around the edge of a square board, buying as much land as you possibly can, building on it, charging insane rents whilst avoiding paying tax and going to jail.
This actually lends itself to the game very well and it helps that the pieces are nicely rendered, three-dimensional sprites that turn ninety degrees each time they turn a corner and bounce along as they move.
While the gameplay is fun for those Monopoly enthusiasts who love and live by the rulebook, this certainly isn't a game for those who enjoy the game for the human interaction.

The multi-player element extends the life-span of the game considerably, and you will find yourself drawn to having a quick online game against human opponents (it is also not too demanding for 56k modems, they cope quite well with this game).
It is a breath of gaming fresh air, and you can see that the team that made it have clearly put alot of time and effort into this wonderfully innovative and extremely well polished game.
