The Walt Disney World monorail system has been in continuous operation since 1971 with double beam track that circles the Seven Seas Lagoon in front of the Magic Kingdom.
The current model of monorail began operation in 1990, with the full fleet of 12 in service by early 1991.
Each monorail travels on rubber tires and is powered by a 600 volt DC propulsion system which includes eight DC motors rated at 112 HP each, with the power emanating from each side of the beam.

The Monorail because of it size is handy to take to family visits and to the many computer workshops which some RV campgrounds now have, since the Monorail has a full size keyboard and mouse along with a good eye level mount, it creates quite an interest where everyone else has small laptops.
I gave my Monorail to my Daughter, It worked for a while for her but the screen would sometimes turn to bright yellow lines, after the computer was turned off for a few hours it would come on normally again.

Officials familiar with the process say the Seattle Monorail Project's request for proposals last year was belatedly fashioned to favor Cascadia in the belief that TM wouldn't be able to muster an offer due to a contract liability requirement.
