		A young handicapped man was allegedly killed in his residence by three PNC officers in Mont Ngafula neighbourhood in Kinshasa, on 22 October 2006.
		According to witnesses, the victim had had his voter’s card extorted the same evening and was followed until his house by the perpetrators.

		The principal venues in Libreville where bush meat is sold include the central markets at N'Kembo, Mont Bouet, the port-side market of Oloumi and to a lesser extent along the road stretching between the city and the Mondah reserve.
		Other smaller markets were visited but no significant amounts of bush meat were seen in them.
		Despite very serious pressure from poachers and habitat loss some game can still be found in the Kinshasa region: around the Bateke Plateau, Maluku, N'sele and Mont Ngafula.

		CPJ has been unable to confirm his status since Mobutu’s regime was ousted on May 17, 1997, by Laurent Kabila.
		Muadianvita, a free-lance journalist for the independent newspapers La Tempete des Tropiques, Umoja, and L’Example, was arrested at his home in Mont Ngafula, a county of Kinshasa, by soldiers of the Military Action and Intelligence Service (SARM) on the orders of General Bolozei Ngbudu.
		Muadianvita was transported to SARM headquarters at Kitambo in Kinshasa, where he is being held incommunicado.

	Democratic Republic of the Congo
		The main problems they encountered were lack of seeds and tools, high prices and restricted opportunities for trade.
		Through a project managed by the ICRC in cooperation with the FAO,* vegetable kits and gardening implements were distributed to vulnerable families in the most destitute districts of Kinshasa (Mont Ngafula, Kimbanseke and Massina), who were willing to develop small-scale vegetable production.
		The civilian population’s state of health deteriorated steadily as a result of the conflict.

		My book, "In Southern Light," ends with a party at Benoit's place on Mont Ngafula, overlooking Kinshasa.
		Benoit died of cirrhosis, malaria, and hepatitis-- a triple whammy to his liver-- in l990.

		The home was a further initiative to identify true orphan street children and to provide them a stable albeit Christian home environment with the added discipline of a simple boarding school.
		The compound is very large for boys to play and we are away from the lures and hazards of the city here in Mont Ngafula.
		FLRC/CRVF has assisted in rehabilitating and reintegrating 8 boys with their families.
