		Rommel Doleno, control operator of the National Transmission Corporation (Transco) substation based in Nabunturan in Compostela Valley, said the transformer tripped off when the tremor struck.
		The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicenter of the earthquake was monitored 47 kilometers northeast of Tagum City in Davao del Norte.
		The intensity of the tremor was 5 in Tagum City; 4 in Mati, Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley towns; 3 in Bislig, Surigao del Sur, Cagayan de Oro and Davao City; and 2 in Butuan and Kidapawan cities.
