		Montu is originally depicted as either a bull, a hawk, or a hawk-headed man and is patron of all manner of martial arts and warfare, strength and masculine virility.
		Montu's prowess at leading armies and war parties caused his invocation before battles, and Kemet's greatest general-kings would call themselves "mighty bulls," the sons of Montu.
		Montu eventually would become nearly enfolded within the syncretic concept of Amen-Ra and that composite figure would absorb most of Montu's fighting nature, becoming the patron Netjer of the warrior-Pharaohs of the New Kingdom Empire.

		Montu is best in front because you come so close to the underground tunnel walls, so the wait can be another hour. Ride the front in the morning when the wait is cut in half, then ride the back, where the wait is even less.
		The Montu originally is the hawk headed Egyptian war god that flies and manuevers at high speed and this incredible ride with 7 inversions traveling at speeds of up to 60 mph makes this ride live up to its name.
		For now Montu is still a great ride in spite of its momentum loss: however the ride could be better if the brake block remains unused except in emergency.

		Montu, who we generally identify as an ancient war god in Egypt, actually originated in the form of a local solar god in Upper (southern) Egypt, apparently at Hermonthis (City of the Sun).

		Montu was built to beat Raptor (Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio) After riding them both, I think Montu is better as a whole, but the ending of Raptor ties them up.
		Montu starts off lifting you over alligator pits, sends you underground, and flips you so violently that I almost fled out at one point.

		Montu is an interesting collection of elements, but BandM did a nice job of tying those elements together.
		Because Montu is built over a grassland instead of a midway, it is able to dive lower, making for faster, wilder transitions than, say, Raptor.
		Of course, it was longer than most of my other park visits on this trip...but thanks to the small ride package, even with a short visit, I managed not to miss anything I really wanted to do.
