Morley High School is located on Fountain Street in Morley, a town situated 5 miles south-west of Leeds, West Yorkshire with a population of about 50,000.
The school is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school which serves the town and its surrounding area.
The school was first established as a grammar school in 1907, becoming a mixed comprehensive in 1975.

Son of the late and well known local councillor and entertainer Harold "Leo" Leathley, Henry Christopher John Leathley is head of boys' Physical Education at Morley High School, in Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
He is a revered local sports person, having played in Morley Rugby Club's 1970s "three in a row" Yorkshire Cup winning side and captained Hanging Heaton Cricket Club to Bradford League victory.
He achieved great success at Morley Rugby Club when they made their historic run of promotion all the way to National League Two, which is today National League One, just one below the Guiness Premiership.

The high school was moved to its present location at Twenty-second and Main Streets in 1929, and in 1972 the name...was changed to Ole Main High School.

Cockburn College of Performing Arts, Morley High School and Woodkirk High School have already taken part in a two-day workshop based on NBT’s production of Romeo and Juliet.
Two interpreters from the Royal Armouries and two dancers from NBT worked with 23 students on the two-day course to choreograph fight scenes and a dance sequence called the Knight’s Dance.
