	The 25-pdr Field Gun 1939 - 1972: Part One
		Another tractor utilised early on to tow the 25-pdr was one developed by Morris in 1936, the CDSW 6x4 field artillery tractor.
		However, the Army wanted to standardise on a 4x4 and such a specification was issued in 1937 with three companies involved: Commer, Guy and Morris Commercial.
		The most widely used was the Morris C8 / FWD Field Artillery Tractor (FAT) and became known as the Quad.

		To start with, I've sprayed the three colours on to a piece of white card to show the colours side by side and Brett has photographed it along with the three tinlets.
		To display the colours on a model I have chosen a Matchbox 1/76 scale Morris C8.
		Now this is not technically correct as this vehicle was modified especially to tow the 17 pounder anti tank gun which didn't come into service until much later but it was the only model I had of the right type.

		The gun can be assembled as fully unlimbered (carriage removed) partially unlimbered (carriage rotated off the ground, as seen here) or limbered (carriage lowered and supporting the gun).

		Your picture is a British Morris Commercial C8 probably MKII produced in 1939-1940.
		It was a sort of precursor to the Canadian Chev and Ford Gun Tractors that the other guys are referring to and performed the same functions.
		I did not follow the model link in one of the answers but I believe Airfix did a scale model of this one in either 1/76 or 1/72 scale many years ago.
