During seven months this bustling, seething, populous city, with its little suburb called Morristown, was the centre of energy in the cause of the united American colonies and the object of many hostile designs on the part of their enemies.
Washington's map puts the Jersey camp in Somerset county, half a mile beyond the county line, on the northeast side of a brook which flows into the Passaic from the southwest, though at the spot where the camp is indicated it flows from northwest to southeast.
The line of the Jockey Hollow road is so greatly exposed that only in the winter last past, 1892-3, the snow drifted so badly that in several places the road was impassable and sleighs were driven over fields and even over fences.

A new electric storage yard is being built and the line becomes four tracks before we revert to two tracks and enters Great Notch, which has bus shelters and no platforms, we are in the station since I saw signs with the station name.
At first glimpse and as seen from the Morristown line there appear to be two separate stations but in fact the station is between the two lines as is the parking area.
The line is now three electrified tracks and we use the Northernmost track and share the Morristown Line to Dover, our next station.

That line is expected to connect with the Lackawanna Cutoff, a discontinued rail line from Warren County to Scranton, Pa., that is the subject of a $350 million rebuilding plan.
The Rahway Valley line is being developed for local freight service only, he said, and as for the Alameda corridor, it was construction in a big ditch that had no crossing streets to begin with.
