		Mortician is a death metal band from Yonkers, New York.
		They were founded in 1989 as Casket, but after writing their first song, aptly called "Mortician," they decided to change the band name.
		The band continued the tour without Rahmer, with members of the support bands handling the bass and vocal duties.

		Worm Gear (House By The Cemetary) - MORTICIAN is one of the scenes pioneer brutal, grinding Death bands and in my opinion, one of the least prductive.
		The use of a drum machine can be quite an asset to a band, however in the hands of a bad programmer, it can be quite bad.

		Here was a band not afraid to do something stupid like that and now (aside from two clips from some film I'm unfamiliar with) that band is dead.
		Unidentified Flying Bodyparts is one of those albums where a band who has been in the death metal scene since the early 1990's (some would say they're leeches jumping on popular DM bandwagons - I'm not one of them) releases an album pandering to a wider audience than it needs to focus on.
		I don't want to see a decent band like Suhrim become another generic, meaningless footnote in the history of the Belgian death metal scene, because that's not the fate the band deserves.

		Reflecting my situation on others as well (hehehe), the band is more straightforward than Mortician, more 'straight to your face' deathmetal and the band doesn't do it without leaving an impression to me. Tight deathmetal the US-way with very deep vocals and fast pounding vocals.
		All in all this is a record that is a must for the Mortician fan for the songs have a decent quality and displays the power of Mortician live.

		That band was that killer and to this day, nobody else in the French scene has penned Death Metal material this way.
		Therefore it is very hard to categorize this band, one moment I am hearing inspirations from bands such as new IMMORTAL and one second later I hear a MOTÖRHEAD kinda riff.

		Poland's Gazeta Wyborcza is reporting that Mortician vocalist/bassist Will Rahmer is likely to spend the next few weeks at a Polish jail while the prosecutors prepare an indictment against him for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
		Rahmer, 36, was arrested by the Polish police after he allegedly assaulted a taxi driver with a knife and stole a taxi cab following the group's performance in the Polish city of Zielona Gora on Sunday (Nov. 13).
		Rahmer reportedly called a cab after Mortician's concert in Zielona Gora (which the other Mortician members performed without Rahmer) and requested to be taken to the Berlin airport so that he could fly back to the United States.

		Sure, the lyrics are cobbled together with various well known horror movie images and the the riffs don't shiver with that gothenburger melodic shine but the band is an example of pure "crunch and burn" death metal the "way it once was".
		First of all let me tell every one that mortician is a band that plays the most unforgiven and most horrofic type of horror/grind with deathmetal vocals that i've ever heard and it still gives me the chills.
		Mortician holds their title as being probably the hardest, heaviest death F###ing metal band to ever spawn from hell, but alot of people will pass this off as pointless, stressful noise.
