 | | Overall in 2001, SMG reduced the Moscone Center’s waste volume by 75 percent and waste tonnage by 40 to 50 percent. |
 | | Moscone’s goal is to reduce overall waste disposal by 80% by volume through more systematic collection methods, greater outreach to the ten employee unions, adding recycling bins to more areas, and piloting a plant and floral waste diversion program. |
