Moscow Manege is a large square building which gives its name to the vast Manege Square adjacent to the more famous Red Square.
In 1867, Hector Berlioz and Nikolai Rubinstein performed at the Manege before the crowd of 12,000 spectators.
On 18 February 2005 the restored Manege resumed its activity as an exhibition hall with the same exhibition that had been scheduled on the day of its fire.

MOSCOW, April 15 (RIA Novosti's analyst Olga Sobolevskaya) - On April 18, World Heritage Day, a year after the disastrous fire that swept the Manege building located close to the Kremlin, this remarkable historical monument and a major exhibition hall will be re-opened.
But shortly after the fire, Moscow's chief architect Alexander Kuzmin made a statement that the Manege would be restored to its full glory in accordance with Betancourt's schemes.
Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov believes that this revived building which is now up-to-date and comfortable is also "twice as splendid as it was before".
