Some five years ago, Vladimir Dostal, general director of Mosfilm, was afraid that his studios would not even be able to pay the bills for heating and electricity.
With the help of Italian investors, this should be enough to continue the technical modernisation of the studio.
Mosfilm has brought 2,500 films to the EFM, among them The Small Cat (screening in the children's competition) and Eldar Ryazanov's Hello, Funny Ones.

Mosfilm, the largest film and television production and post-production facility in Russia, has decided to install a Solid State Logic XL 9080 K SuperAnalogue‘ console in its main music studio, Studio No. 1.
Renamed Mosfilm in 1935, the facility has gone on to produce more than 2,500 films, many of which have won awards at both domestic and international film festivals.
Andrey Egorov, Mosfilm’s head of studios, chose the Solid State Logic XL 9080 K console as a replacement for an SSL 4000 G+, which was originally installed more than a decade ago and is now being moved to another smaller studio within the complex.

And Potemkin is shot by Mosfilm, i.e., it is a Russian one (and a soviet as well).
It took me a while to understand, and perhaps part of the problem is that the distinctions between the different categories are not very clear.
