		Derbyshire cheeses are exported or sent to London in considerable quantities; and cheese fairs are held in various parts of the county, as at Ashbourne and Derby.
		History.The earliest English settlements in the district which is now Derbyshire were those of the West Angles, who in the course of their northern conquests in the 6th century pushed their way up the valleys of the Derwent and the Dove, where they became known as the Pecsaetan.

	Cycling up Holme Moss
		Holme Moss is at the top of the road over the Pennines to the Holmfirth area of Yorkshire.

		No further sightings were reported in NW Derbyshire, but a male was present at Swallow Moss, N Staffs in late April and early May.
		The wardens soon positioned their caravan at Derbyshire Bridge car park and compiled a list of possible volunteers to watch over the nest during the day.
		The RSPB and their wardens, involved DOS members, volunteers and especially George Hudson, are thanked for their time and effort which enabled Hen Harriers to breed successfully, and yet at the same time gave so many people the opportunity to witness and enjoy this historic occasion.
