Mother (song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mother is a song by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd.
Contrary to what one might assume from this song, Waters' relationship with his mother was far happier than that of "Pink" (the main character in The Wall) and the title character of this song.
As with the other songs on The Wall, Mother tells a portion of the story of Pink, the album's protagonist.

 Goodbye Blue Sky
Personally speaking, the song works best following "Tigers" in that it acts as both a continuation of the themes of war and loss dealt with in the previous song as well as Pink's own realization of the burdens placed on him by his father, mother, and society as a whole.
Similar to its meaning after "Mother," the song is another transition in Pink's life, between that of youthful unawareness and the self-consciousness of young adulthood.
As with most Pink Floyd songs, "Goodbye Blue Sky" is musically and lyrically deceptive in its seeming simplicity.

This is more of a suite than a song, as the not only the structures changes, but also the mood, as we go from scary to happy, and the whole thing accentuated by the use of a choir in a pretty unusual way, as it sings through sounds and mostly is used as percussions.

Marmalade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Pink Floyd song Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, the person talking mentions that he likes marmalade ("Marmalade, I like marmalade").
The truth is that in 1797, James Keiller, who was unmarried at the time, and his mother Janet opened a factory to produce "Dundee Marmalade", that is marmalade containing thick chunks of orange rind, this recipe (probably invented by his mother) being a new twist on the already well-known fruit preserve of orange marmalade.
The extension of "marmalade" in the English language to refer to citrus fruits was made in the 17th century, when citrus first began to be plentiful enough in England for the usage to become common.
