		MOTHER 2 was a Super Famicom game which was successfully released as EARTHBOUND for the Super NES.
		MOTHER 3 was a proposed NINTENDO 64 title which was reportedly in development for about 3 years when it was abruptly cancelled; no reason given.
		The MOTHER 3 PETITION represents the wishes of thousands of Mother-game fans that Nintendo bring back this project, perhaps as a GCN game or something.

		They already have a good translation for Mother 2 (although I wouldn't object to loosening up the 90's era self-censoring enforced by NOA), they really only need to tidy up Mother 1 if the prototype NES cart dump that has floated around the net has anything to show for itself.
