 | | Samus refused to quit the onslaught, nearly jumping onto the mother brain herself as she released shot after shot into the mother brain, each one hitting her with the deadliest accuracy, each one giving her a new level of pain then the last, and giving Samus a new feeling of anger and loss. |
 | | That infant Metroid creature had meant more to her then anything else she could remember in her life, and now mother brain had taken him from her, slaughtered him in her own vain attempt to win the fight, and only now did she realize she had marked her own gravestone by killing the alien powerhouse. |
 | | Behind her back the mother brain’s brain dissolved into dust as she died, her entire essence having flown from her, she could (hopefully) no longer regenerate herself, and was now gone forever, lost from this universe and transcending into the next world. |
