 Motorhead Album Reviews
Rather, Motorhead introduces everyone to the Motorhead sound, and quite a thrilling sound it often is, though that sound and especially the band's songs would soon show a marked improvement.
According to Lemmy Kilmister, longtime leader of Motorhead: “if we moved next door your lawn would die.” And though Lemmy’s “gargled with glass” shouting style is as ugly as the huge warts on his face, these guys rock so consistently hard that I can’t help but be consistently blown away by them.
Motorhead’s thrash style was a key link between punk and metal (as previously mentioned, they were the rare band who appealed to both camps), and their fast, ferocious style upped the stakes for all who followed.

There is something special about Motorhead gigs: I haven't decided if it’s the devotion of their fans, the ludicrous volume they play at or if it’s like stepping back in time and partying with Vikings.
Motorhead have never announced a tour to be their last and Phil Campbell has never been referred to as "filthy".
The Motorhead gig, classic stage lights, amps on eleven, the immortal words "we are Motorhead, we are a rock n roll band" that set the attitude right off.

STONE DEAF FOREVER - Motorhead release Double Live CD and headline North American tour (NY Rock)
Since being kicked out of his last band, Hawkwind, and forming Motorhead in 1975, Lemmy, self-professed speedfreak/World War historian/gardener and bludgeoning bassist, has been writing, recording and performing hell-raising, iron-fisted rock'n'roll numbers and is the axle around which the group's many line-ups have revolved.
A tag line at the end of the 1916 album has a Monty-Python-style Vicar's voice asking the dear Lord to "Bless Motorhead with such success that they may someday be able to purchase one more pair of trousers each." In a similar ironic manner, the band named their 17th album Overnight Sensation.
And as the new CD and tour prove, Motorhead, for the past few years a power trio in the definitive sense of the term, absolutely kill every other band on the planet, including my own.

I certainly won't subscribe to the theory that Motorhead are the "perfect" rock'n'roll band, symbolizing the rock force more than the Who or the Stones, but one thing's for certain: few bands could rock out at such a dumb, dumb, dumb level as Motorhead and still end up sounding intelligent.
This principle is theoretically unapplicable to Motorhead, because the band was never about meticulousness and precision in the studio, and as for the production, well, production on your average Motorhead record is usually as "clean" as a brontosaurus' bowel movement.
It all amounts to seventeen tracks of prime Motorhead material, and truthfully, all you really need to extrapolate it on everything else is the last track, the two-minute instrumental 'Young And Crazy' which perfectly sums up all of the aspects of Motorhead music (except for the vocals, of course).

For Motorhead it's the Ace Of Spades and when it inevitably cropped up in the encore, the reaction was enormous - although it has to be said that Lemmy's guitar was disappointingly not as sharp as the recorded track.

 MOTORHEAD
Motorhead eschews the flashy guitar leads and soaring multi-octave vocals of most “old school” metal bands that came up through the ranks with them in the 1970s and 1980s.
In fact, given that Motorhead recycles the same three chords over and over, they seem to have more in common Big Apple punk music like that of The Ramones, than with any of their British metal contemporaries.
A one time guitar tech/roadie for Jimi Hendrix during the time he lived in England, Lemmy credits ‘50s rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Little Richard with sparking his love of rock music and says it was his late boss, Jimi Hendrix, who most encouraged him to chase his rock ‘n’ roll dream.

In Motorhead they have gone for the same less subtle approach used in G-Police in that all of the approaching graphics appear out of a misty haze.
This hides the fact that only the very close graphics are being displayed and due to the fact that the gamplay is not hindered in any way, seems to have very successfully done.
As such anyone who compares Motorhead to either G.T or F1 is completely missing the point - it's aimed at those who like a pick up and play racer, rather than become immersed in the technicalities of ride height, downforce levels etc.

 1916 by Motorhead CD
Along with 1986's ORGASMATRON, 1916, Motorhead's first release of the '90s, is the finest from the band's twin guitar line-up (which included Wurzel and Phil Campbell).
Some longtime Motorhead fans wrote the band off after original guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke left in the early '80s, but, as the two aforementioned albums prove, Motorhead still had plenty of tricks left up their sleeve.
1916 is as close as Motorhead ever got to recording a concept album--some songs deal with the horrors of World War One, such as "No Voices in the Sky" and the title track.

Designed by the Swedish company Digital Illusions and marketed in Europe by Gremlin, it is still not officially out here in the United States.
Thus the game's design stands in contrast not only to racing simulations, but also to arcade racing games such as the Need for Speed and Test Drive series, which attempt to portray actual racing settings and racing cars as realistically as possible.
The photos of each racer are shown at the end of a race, and in a quite clever move the designers of Motorhead allow you to insert your own photo (or any picture of your choice scaled down to the right size) for your own car's driver.
