Microcomputer system with independent operating systems - Patent 4722048
The Motorola 6809 processor being an 8-bit machine and also the RAM 204 being 8 bits wide is coupled to the main memory 205 via a twin bus which is comprised of two 8-bit type busses.
On the other hand, the Motorola 6809 type processor 203 operates as an input/out processor utilizing its local memory 204, 99% of the time.
With this type of architecture the personal computer (Intel 8086) could utilize any memory cycles which the LSI-6 computer or the Motorola 6809 did not utilize.

 68HC11 Assembly
Fortunately, the 68HC11 branch instructions will perform this interpretation properly, provided the correct instruction is used for the type of data the programmer has in mind.
Whenever the 68HC11 performs any type of arithmetic or logical operation, various condition codes are generated in addition to the actual result of the operation.
In the back of the Motorola 68HC11 programmer's handbook is a table of the ASCII codes.

Since Motorola DSPs use different word sizes, the words must be split into bytes and stored in an appropriate format.
The Motorola DSP START and END records are mapped into S0 and S7/S9 records respectively.
All other DSP record types are mapped into S1 or S3-type records depending on the source processor.

 Encryption Protocols
The device used to load these encryption "keys" into a radio is known as a "Keyloader", or in Motorola-speak, a "KVL", or Key Variable Loader.
There are two ways around this shortcoming; either the repeater does not use a CTCSS tone, which is called a transparent repeater, or a repeater such as the Motorola MSF5000TM is used.
Encryption of the human voice is a complex and intricate procedure that is accomplished by one of two methods: analog or digital.

21(a) Report of Investigation: Motorola, Inc.
Motorola selectively disclosed material nonpublic information covered by Regulation FD when the IR Director told analysts during private telephone calls in March 2001 that Motorola's sales and orders were off by 25% or more for the first quarter of 2001.
If an issuer becomes aware, as Motorola did here, that information it is trying to convey to the public has not in fact been conveyed, and the issuer determines that further disclosure is necessary, the proper course of action under Regulation FD is to make additional public disclosure.
Finally, in concluding that Motorola should not be the subject of a formal enforcement action, we also note that, having now issued this Report, we would be less likely in future cases to credit reliance on counsel for the advice rendered here.

In 1983, the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X phone was the first portable cellular phone to receive FCC type acceptance and become available for consumer purchase just a few months later -- igniting a frenzy of growth and consumer demand for personal wireless communication.
Motorola’s rich wireless heritage grew from the company’s creation of the world’s first practical, affordable and commercially successful car radio in 1930 and later that decade, the company’s first commercial two-way radio systems.
The revolutionary DynaTAC 8000X phone will be on display at the MOBILE Exhibition in New York for the next two weeks, along with early prototypes, various mobile handsets, marketing pieces and narratives on mobile phone culture from the last twenty years which showcase the evolution of the industry.

The case is a SparcStation 1 (or 1+ or 2) type "pizzabox" chassis, but the machine is NOT a Sparcstation -- it's a Sun3 using a Motorola 68030, but it's also one of the few Sun3 series machine to use the 68030 at all (previous Sun3 machines used a 68020).
An important point to remember is that the 68030 CPU is instruction-set compatible with the 68020, so pre-compiled binaries for the Sun3 series 68020 machines will work with the Sun 3/80.
