MR152] Abbey Pumping Station Railway, Leicester: (MR p17) (BLNs 882.MR192, 910.MR265, 917.MR44) A visit was made to this 2ft-gauge line running in the grounds of the Pumping Station on Saturday 7 June 2003.
On this occasion the station adjacent to the locomotive shed was in use, in lieu of that at the lower level.
A notice on the station building at the Mewsbrook Park end stated this was due to the serious illness of Mrs Evans (the line is operated by Mr and Mrs Evans on a lease from the council).
