England-bound utility back Motu Tony today said he was not unhappy at the Brisbane Broncos, despite ending a short-lived stint with the NRL club.
Tony said claims he was leaving due to poor treatment was "the furthest thing from the truth".
Tony, who played for Toowoomba in the Queensland Cup last week, said his decision to leave the club was made before halves Darren Lockyer, Brett Seymour and Shaun Berrigan were all sidelined by injury.

Before his shift to Humberside, Tony had shuffled from the Warriors, to Brisbane Broncos, to English club Castleford inside two years, but next year will be his third with the English Challenge Cup winner - although he does harbour a desire for an eventual return to the NRL.
Tony had few problems adapting to a rapid return to the northern hemisphere, even without his family - but wasn't planning to aid his re-acclimatisation with some fraternising with the enemy.

Ironically Tony, drafted in by Castleford in a desperate bid to avoid the drop, made his debut for the Tigers against Hull, on Sunday 6 June when the Black and Whites registered a 52-18 victory.
I’ve followed his career with great interest ever since and when it became apparent that he would be available after fulfilling his commitments to Castleford, the club was very keen to recruit him.
