Topic: Moujean Tea

The Zone 9 Tea Herb Garden
Tea is one of the simple pleasures of life, and growing your own tea herbs and learning to blend your own teas is fun and rewarding.
Growing your own tea herbs gives you the satisfaction of knowing your brew was grown without chemicals, harvested at the peak of perfection, and preserved with minimal disturbance to the leaf, giving you a perfect cup of tea.
Herb teas can be brewed by pouring pure water brought just to the boil over fresh or dried herbs and letting them steep for between 5 and 20 minutes, or by adding them to a large glass jar filled with pure water and letting the sun do the work of infusing the herbs.

Susan Musselman and Rebekah Walls prepared several delicious (and some not-so tasty) herbal teas for the Tea Party at the West End Garden on Thursday, August 26.
There were 35 thirsty patrons to sip and sample the variety of teas made from the plants grown in the herbal beds at the garden.
If anyone would like a pamphlet, which includes the recipes and instructions for making herbal teas, there are copies in the Master Gardener office as well as in the info box at the West End.

I have been practicing alot with ficus as they are the most readilly available plant here fopr indoor as my outdoor space is way limited to not much and nothing at all, I would die to have a fukien tea or pomegranite.
I do not have much practice with junipoers, but have tried a few maples that have all died, lost about 13 ficus just to testing different technicues (casecades and layerings etc) but hay, at 3 dollars for a 3 foot group of ficus, no problem.
After my Fukien Tea disaster, I have worked very hard at learning about proper care and maintenance of trees, with both books and Internet surfing.
