		MOULVIBAZAR, Sept 30:—The Aman paddy plants on hundreds of hectares of land in different areas of the Moulvibazar district have been attacked by pests.
		The district office of the AED says this year the target of cultivation of Aman paddy field throughout the district has been fixed at 104207 hectares while the target of production of Aman crop has been fixed at 244431 metric tons.
		It may be mentioned here that Aman-paddy is the main crop of the district and a huge number of farmers of the district maintain their livelihood all the year round, depending on the harvest of Aman-crop.

		Jagatshi village, Sadar police station, Moulvibazar district (in northeastern Bangladesh bordering the Indian state of Tripura).
		Fifteen minority Hindu families living in the village were forced to leave their native village when a group of hundred Islamic zealots attacked the village and subsequently looted and set fire to the homes of the local Hindu minority families.
