Mount Ararat (Turkish Ağrı Dağı; Armenian Արարատ; Kurdish Çîyayê Agirî; Persian آرارات Ararat; Hebrew אררט, Standard Hebrew Ararat, Tiberian Hebrew ʾĂrārāṭ), the tallest peak in modern Turkey, is a snow-capped dormant volcanic cone, located in the far northeast of Turkey, 16 km west of Iran and 32 km south of Armenia.
Mount Ararat is featured in the center of the Coat of Arms of Armenia.
Several expeditions to Mount Ararat to search for the Ark have occured, but the Turkish government has closed off the northwestern area of the mountain since the early 1990s due to military conflicts with Kurdish rebels.

Only Ararat's frozen top is capable of preserving the ark. If it landed elsewhere, then the ark has probably disappeared over the ages, by rotting, hauled away as artifacts, or used as firewood.

As computed by ArcImaging, the coordinates that cover the ice cap area on Mount Ararat are N 39 degrees 41' to N 39 degrees 44', E 44 degrees 15' 30" to E 44 degrees 19' 30".
The only reason to search there on Mount Ararat the first place is because of the alleged eyewitesses over the past 150 years and they claimed to see a boat, not pieces of wood.
Because of this, Mount Ararat is a second-degree military zone and few foreigners have been legally allowed on it since 1990.

Mount Ararat seems to be the easier mountain to find, possibly from the large amount of information about Mount Ararat and all the "famous" searches at that location.
Additionally, as indicated by the drawing, Mount Judi is locate 30 miles south of Lake Van which is 200 miles south of Mount Ararat.
Mount Judi, Spelled Cudi-Dagh in Turkish means "highest" or "the heights" in Arabic and for this reason a number of people in Eastern Turkey, including some Islamic scholars, think Al Judi refers to Ararat.
