The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association is pleased to announce that the Beresford Ltd. - Volleyfest 99 will be played in the St. John's/Mount Pearl area this weekend October 29 and 30.
There are 96 teams registered for the tournament with 247 matches of volleyball to be played during the weekend.

The opening of a network office of the Canada/Newfoundland and Labrador Business Service Network was announced jointly by the Honourable Brian Tobin, Minister of Industry; the Honourable Beaton Tulk, Minister of Industry, Trade and Rural Development; and Mount Pearl Mayor Dave Denine.
Minister Tulk said this brings the total number of network sites in the province to 30, noting that more than 50 public and private sector partners are the key contacts at these sites, providing business services ranging from information to counselling to financial advice.
This federal-provincial initiative is co-managed by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency on behalf of the Government of Canada and the provincial Department of Industry, Trade and Rural Development on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
