Jon Whyte's Mount Vision Pro design for Marin was the first full-suspension bike to score a national level cross-country race win.
Hit the same corner on the Whyte and there is no drama, no fuss, in fact the feeling through the bars barely changes at all - it is such a change to have the front wheel stay where you originally planned.
We found the Whyte Bike was easily the best ascender on test even though the Continental Twister rear tyre had little teenager pimples instead of grown-up knobbles - it didn't really matter though, because the bike felt so balanced and stable under power that confidence rocketed on tricky climbs.

Whyte came to Tasmania with his parents in 1832, and six years later took some sheep to Victoria and settled near Portland.
Whyte and the colonial treasurer, Charles Meredith (q.v.) were the first to go on ministerial tours, and as a result vigorous efforts were made to open up the country by constructing roads and bridges.
In 1881 Whyte was able to report that the sheep of Tasmania were free from scab disease, a most important gain to the pastoral industry and the whole colony.

Marin's Mount Vision has been through many evolutions since it became one of the first widely accepted full-suss XC rigs nearly a decade ago, but it's still one of the smoothest riding trail bikes around.
When Marin designer Jon Whyte introduced his QUAD-Link FRS frames to the range after years of hard selling the virtues of single pivot designs, we wondered how the shift would be greeted.
Marin's Mount Vision has been a classic point-to-point bike wearing benchmark XT kit ever since it was first introduced.

The Sermon on the Mount. Matt. 5:1-2
A modern commentator refers to the Sermon as “Moses quadrupled.” [Jeremias, The Sermon on the Mount, 12] Alexander Whyte has a sermon in which he entitles the Sermon on the Mount, “Moses’ Last Sermon.” In these various ways, these commentators are indicating that the nature of this sermon is law and command.
That is why the Sermon on the Mount so regularly sends shivers up and down the spine of serious, faithful Christians who are all too aware of the sinfulness of their lives and their many and profound shortcomings, their constant failure to live up to the standard Christ has set for his followers here.
In this sense the Sermon on the Mount is the gospel, for it is the new life that proceeds from faith in Christ and his work of grace in our lives.
