There is a nice blend between family conflict and the extreme of the mountain, not to mention that even if you hate the movie, the music'll at least jolt you to attention.
Characters die off for little good reason other than to say, "Look, mountain climbing is dangerous, particularly when you have sun, heat, and shock-sensitive nitroglycerine on your back!" Fun factoid: the Pakistani military apparently keeps this stuff on hand for some reason and is happy to lend it out to would-be mountain rescuers.

I actually used a topography map and determined that a sloping ascent around the back of the mountain to the falls and up was the best approach.
The lakes are pretty and remote and should provide a secluded hideaway from the people at Robin lake.
I took the more frequently used trail down to Tuck lake and it was a nasty decent along the ridge top of the mountain.

However, both the Feline and Mountain Owlet-Nightjars I saw did not fly, even though I had to climb into the middle of the thickets to see the birds, and in each case was too close to use binoculars.

The vast Tari basin is the home of the race of wigwearers that are known as the Huli and was the last of the Highlands provinces to be explored by some intrepid western gold miners (1935).
Mountain slopes covered by luxuriant moss forest continue upwards some nine kilometres to the Tari Gap, at an altitude of about 2,500 metres.
Amongst the birds we encountered were Mountain Mouse-Warbler, Buff-faced Scrub-Wren, Papuan Thornbill, Marbled Honeyeater, the beautiful Garnet Robin, Mottled Whistler, Lawes' Parotia and Fan-tailed Berrypecker.
