  Mounted Corps memorial (also AFC & ALHR)
Unveiled in 1968, this memorial consists of a free-standing cast bronze figure of two troopers and their horses set on a granite base.
It is a replica of the original memorial which stood at Port Said in Egypt depicting a mounted Australian Light-Horseman defending a New Zealander standing beside his wounded horse.
The original memorial was partly paid for by light horsemen, mounted infantrymen and cameleers who raised £5,000 by subscribing a day's pay towards its cost.

 Papua New Guinea Association - Nurses Memorial
A competition for the design of the Memorial was held and the winner was Robin Moorhouse who lived in Rabaul between 1958 and 1963.
A jeweller and silversmith, now a sculptor, Robin sees the Memorial as a "jewel on the landscape" and that "glass was chosen for the walls as it is a living material and also reflects life.
For those who may visit Canberra, the uniform she wore when marched into the sea to be machine gunned, survived the war and is now on display at the Australian War Memorial, bullet holes and all.

The Memorial, to be constructed at a cost of $2.4M, will record forever the names of more than 700 Australian police from all jurisdictions who have died whilst on duty.
The granite flooring of the Memorial will be etched with inspirational text describing the elements of policing including courage, duty and integrity, the unpredictable nature of the role and the perpetual need to serve the community.
It is proposed that a march from Old Parliament House to the Memorial, a distance of 1.6 kilometres, be held with a contingent from each jurisdiction as well as retired officers and family members, comprising in excess of 500 marchers.

More commonly known as the Light Horse Memorial, this memorial commemorates the men of the Australian Light Horse Brigade as well as the New Zealand Mounted Rifles, the Imperial Camel Corps and the Australian Flying Corps who lost their lives in Egypt, Palestine and Syria between 1916 and 1918.

 Register of War Memorials in New South Wales - Bungarby War Memorial
Tapered granite obelisk with honour roll, mounted upon a concrete base, and surrounded by a white picket fence.
The memorial was erected post WW1 (date unknown) but it was refurbished when the new Bungarby Fire Shed was completed and re-dedicated on the 24th Apr 1993.
Note 2: The Australian War Memorial lists Robert Arthur Sloan of Bungarby as having achieved the rank of Lance Corporal, as well as being awarded a Military Medal.

The Australian Mounted Division was formed in Egypt as the Imperial Mounted Division in February 1917 from the 3rd Light Horse Brigade of the Anzac Mounted Division, the 4th Light Horse Brigade, reconstituted after having been broken up the year before, and two British mounted brigades.
As a result, the division was renamed the Australian Mounted Division on 20 June 1917 and became an Australian unit.

Damaged in the Suez Crisis of 1956, the original fractured horse`s head from a memorial that commemorates fallen soldiers from the Australian and New Zealand Mounted Division during World War I will be rededicated to animals.
The head is the only remaining fragment of the memorial that remains intact, with the other portions having been melted down and turned into other memorials, including the one on Mount Clarence.
Mr Roberts said the feeling amongst former servicemen was that the head would go back to Canberra, but that it must not be rededicated.

 Anzac Mounted Division
The Australian and New Zealand Mounted Division was formed in Egypt in March 1916 from the four Australian and New Zealand mounted brigades assigned to ANZAC.
Even before the division had finished forming, the 1st Light Horse Brigade was sent to the Western Desert to fight the Senussi while the rest of the division moved to the Suez Canal, relieving the 1st Division, which moved to the Western Front.
An attempt by the Turks to attack the Suez Canal in August 1916 resulted in it being intercepted and defeated by the Australian and New Zealand Mounted Division in the Battle of Romani.
