Sariaya, Quezon - A major portion of Sariaya is made up of a seven -kilometer rock formation along the slopes of Banahaw believed to be an elongated crater of the volcano.
Possibly another contributing factor is the fact that of the 20 or so square kilometers of river basin, only 2 square kilometers are forested, the rest being coconut plantations.

If the skies are clear, you can see Mt. Banahaw from Manila with two other equally impressive mountains standing at the opposite sides of Banahaw that is Cristobal and Lukban.
Lukban is actually a vent on the slope of Banahaw, which transformed into a majestic almost perfect conical volcano due to the piling up of lava from the said vent for hundreds of years.
