Electric Circus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It can best be compared with the American dance series Soul Train and American Bandstand.
The show was also simulcast on MuchUSA during the show's run and also had a loyal following among American viewers, especially dance music fans who tuned in since it was the only place to see artists and videos from the genre, which usually gets shunned or avoided by MTV in the United States.
The dance hall where people were invited to dance which the show used was within the CHUM-City Building in Toronto, but audiences sometimes spilled out onto Queen Street West.

Mutli-part Spotlights are not uncommon for those artists who have been releasing videos since before the beginning of time and therefore have many videos.
A better description, borrowed from the MuchUSA website reads: "Tracing musical artists' careers from video beginnings to most recent output, the spotlight presents a historical review and intersperses pop clips with interviews for a complete summary drawn from our extensive library.

Looks like some brilliant person at Liberty Media (those responsible for MuchUSA (MuchMusic Canada's USA channel) thinks that producing 2 hours total of "Uranium" a week (the only time decent hard rock/metal videos are played) makes it necessary to pre-empt "Loud".
MuchCanada has played Loud once on Saturday evening and repeating once again on Sunday morning early AM for as long as I can remember.
Uranium isn't bad, but Loud is much better, especially now that they are moving the Punk to its own show.
