		Sir Muhammad Zafrulla Khan, who was elected President of the General Assembly today, was Pakistan's first Foreign Minister from l947 to 1954 and in that capacity headed Pakistan's delegation to the annual sessions of the general Assembly.
		Zafrulla Khan was born in Sialkot now in West Pakistano on 6 February 1893, and was educated at the Government College, Lahore, and later at King's College, London.
		In December 1939., Zafrulla Khan headed the Indian Delegation to the Session of the Ausembly of the League of Nations and from October 1941 to June 1947, he surved as Judge of the federal court of India.
