		Kayunga is located in the Central region of Uganda with a total surface area of 1803.187sq km that is punctuated with wetlands, water and tropical rain forests.
		It borders with 6 districts with Apac in the North, Mukono in the South, Luwero and Nakasongola in the West and Jinja and Kamuli districts in the East.
		As already mentioned, Mukono, the mother district of Kayunga was part of the twenty great counties that made up the great Buganda kingdom during the missionary occupation and colonial influence in Uganda.

	Red Cross Red Crescent - News
		Monica Mbabazi of Mukono branch was proud to tell visitors about the programme she has organised for women who have children suffering from mental disabilities.
		The Uganda Parents Care for the Mentally Handicapped group includes 25 women from the Mukono area who have been trained in community-based first aid and vocational skills to assist their mentally disabled children to have an opportunity for a better life.
		Many of these dedicated mothers are now equipped with the knowledge to teach their children some practical skills like sewing or farming to give them a chance to lead an independent life.

	Brotherhood of St.Andrew - International
		In 1980, as the result of the formation of the new Diocese of Mukono in the Anglican Church in the Province of Uganda, Bro.
		Frank Marshall, Chairman of the National Council of the Brotherhood, was sent there by the Presiding Bishop to visit the new Diocese and report on its needs to the Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief.
