Multiverse (science) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Multiverses have been hypothesized in physics, philosophy, and fiction, particularly in science fiction.
The state of the entire multiverse is related to the states of the constituent universes by quantum superposition.
In Tegmark’s extreme multiverse theory this problem is circumvented, because in that case all possible meta-laws (or all possible unified theories) are in force and describe really-existing multiverses.

 Multiverse - Uncyclopedia
One theory, the theory of the Multiverse, suggests that this universe must be expanding due to the systematic transformation of dark energy from one part of the Multiverse to another.
The main power source of the multiverse is perhaps the most difficult part of the multiverse to understand because it relies upon the division of an infinite power source across an infinite number of universes.
Many of the universes within a multiverse are subject to different physical laws, dimensional attributes, fundamental limitations, rules for playing billiards, etc. Some of them have evil versions of you and everyone you know, and they all have beards.

Multiverse's unique technology platform will change the economics of virtual world development by empowering independent game developers to create high-quality, Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) and non-game virtual worlds for less money and in less time than ever before.
Multiverse solves the prohibitive challenges of game creation by providing developers with a comprehensive, pre-coded client-server infrastructure and tools, a wide range of free content--including a complete game for modification--and a built-in market of consumers.

Taylor’s creative input was immediately recognized and Multiverse became a trio with the addition of Taylor’s innovative drumming and percussion coupled with Kimball’s and Pieretti’s guitars and vocals.
Multiverse has since built on the trio’s classical and jazz training to grow into a band heavily influenced by New York City’s indie rock scene, while maintaining its funk, jazz, and world music roots.
Multiverse has opened for bands such as the Jazz Mandolin Project and Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors and is often joined by guest performers.

Quantum Mechanics and the Multiverse II
The idea of the (non-metaphysical) multiverse or parallel universes as being discussed among modern physicists and cosmologists is far from being accepted in the mainstream of research, though quantum computation, which David Deutsch maintains will show the existence of the multiverse, is being researched and studied in many countries around the world.
Multiverse models rest on the foundations of modern physics, and if they seem at times to touch the province of metaphysics, it is because modern theories become ever more abstract.
The domain of Level IV multiverse is the mathematical structure, which is a formal structure.  A formal structure consists of a set of abstract symbols that can be strung together, a set of rules for determining which of such strings are well-formed formulas (WFFs), and a set of rules for determining which WFFs are theorems.

 Multiverse
A multiverse (or meta-universe) is the hypothetical set of multiple possible universes, including the observable universe, which comprise the whole of physical reality.
The principle observational support for the multiverse hypothesis comes from the Anthropic Principle: the universe we observe is bio-friendly, or we would not be observing it.
Recent pronouncements by Church authorities suggest the Catholic Church, now appears to reject all such hypotheses as well in what may be a reversal of a long standing hands-off policy regarding the physical sciences (see [3] [4] [5] and [6] for an alternate view).

GameDaily BIZ: Multiverse Looks to Expand Online Games
Multiverse is building a network of MMO games and other virtual worlds by giving away the technology for free in an effort to increase the amount of creativity and genres within the MMO games space.
That's all about to change with Multiverse, which offers game developers, Hollywood studios and any IP owner the opportunity to create an MMO game for a fraction of the cost (as little as $10,000) and in a shorter time frame (as much as one to two years off the current development cycle).
Multiverse built a fantasy MMO game, Kothuria: The World's Edge, to show other publishers and developers how easy it is to use the new technology and to show that they can achieve parity with what's in the MMO games space today, said Bridges.

The value of "0" is significant to the structural nature of the multiverse as revealed by the number 45 and its mirror 54 and their relationship to the concept of "center" (i.e., 0123-45-6789) (Note: Not only is 45 the center of the series, 0 thru 9, it is also the sum total of the series.)

Another flaw of Deutsch's presentation of the multiverse theory, in terms of photon slit experiments, is that he fails to explain what is in desperate need of an explanation: the structure of the interference patterns.
The multiverse theory is supposed to solve the so-called measurement problem and to derive quantum statistics and apparent state collapse from the wave theory itself rather than from additional postulates.
The multiverse theory, by the way, claims to solve the measurement problem but it is not agreed upon by physicists in general that that it succeeds.

IMO Multiverse, Emergent Game Technologies, and Kaneva are the current leaders in this area for serious developers (commercial or not), each offering a different blend of the necessary tools, components, and expertise (each of these three, at least, have good people and seem to know what they're doing).
Multiverse (et al) is taking the tack of lowering the barrier to entry to as close to zero as possible, which is the exact opposite of the way it has been for graphical MMOGs.
The key for success for Multiverse, Kaneva, Emergent, etc., is to have enough high-profile successes to offset the sea of dorm-room projects that never go anywhere (this points out a critical difference between 1990 and now too: the market is orders of magnitude larger, thus making a commercial play like this tenable).

RedOrbit - Science - Methodological Solipsism and the Multiverse   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-08)
But if this is the case, in a certain sense there will not really be a multiverse at all: there will be only one universe, and physics may, after all, have justification in acting merely as if there were other universes.
For example, we know that the I will not follow the shortest path through the multiverse; for if it were to, the I-and, methodologically solipsistically, the multiverse as well-would have ceased to exist at the first act of observation (at birth, or even within the womb); and this did not happen.
That the notion of the multiverse is itself highly controversial clearly does not ameliorate the situation.

 K. Marinas' Cyclic Multiverse Hypothesis - Academic Publishing Wiki - A Wikia wiki   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-08)
To explain the Cosmic Background Radiation, the Cyclic Multiverse Hypothesis requires that TeraQuasars are surrounded by an environment which has a similar (if not exactly the same) composition as the one described in the Big Bang theory of the "early" universe.
A fractal with a pattern that repeats towards the infinitely large scales and towards the infinitely small scales is necessarily heterogeneous in space at all levels, whereas many cyclic universe models based on the Big Bang Theory suggest that the universe is homogeneous and isotropic at large scales.
K. Marinas later renamed it because the specific meaning of the word "theory" has a literal interpretation in the sciences which is different than the literal interpretation of the layman.

Q: When describing "Level III Multiverses", you state that on a quantum scale, all of the possible outcomes of a specific event actually happen, though each possibility occurs in a different parallel universe.
