Multnomah County (IPA: [ml̩t ˈno mə]) is a county located in the U.S. state of Oregon, the smallest in area but the largest in population due to Portland, the county seat and largest city in Oregon.
Multnomah County was created when the people living in Portland found it difficult to travel to Hillsboro to conduct business at the county seat of Washington County.
Multnomah County was one of the few local governments in Oregon to approve such a tax increase.

Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Columbia River Highway.
In two steps the falls drop a total 611 feet (188 m), split into an upper falls of 542 feet and a lower falls of 69 feet, with a gradual nine-foot vertical distance between the two.
The Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company gave Portland land at the base of Multnomah Falls contingent upon their agreement to build a lodge at the site.

It is dirt, while the Multnomah Falls trail is asphalted, but most trails in the gorge are dirt, and that is not a big deal.
Most of the damage from that flood, is now covered up beautifully by the lush forest growth along this section of the Gorge, but on the eastern end of this channel the dry and unvegetated lands lie with their history clearly exposed.

I have seen several shots of these falls on PhotoSIG since I joined, but this has to be one of the better ones IMO because of how you have frames the scene.
Multnomah falls is beautiful but it is usualy flat as far as color and lighting is concerned.
I would loke to have seen the top and bottom of the falls and I guess there is a logical reason why you cropped them, maybe there were distractions or a wider lens was not available.
