		Murdock apparently came to the Skagit valley sometime in the late 1870s when Skagit county was still the southern part of Whatcom county in Washington territory.
		Murdock's supreme business act was when he sold most of the rest of the lots for $80,000 to a land group called the Grand Junction Land Co., which was financed by young Sedro banker C.E. Bingham.
		Murdock street on that side was not paved until the 1970s.
