Murrayville has a caravan park, a park with children's play facilities in the centre of town, a shopping mart and a take-away food shop.
To the north of Murrayville is the Murray Sunset National Park.

 Mallee
This is an area worth visiting only in winter, when it’s drier and warmer than the rest of Victoria, but not too hot to make bushwalks unbearable.
At 3500 square kilometres, it’s Victoria’s third largest and has a chain of normally dry lake beds, mallee scrub, river red gum and fl box woodlands, and rolling sand plains, with emus, kangaroos and mallee fowl among its wildlife.
A sealed road goes to the Wonga Campground, where there’s a shady camping and picnic area with water and toilets, as well as an information centre (tel 03/5395 7221) where you can find out about the many walks in the park; this is also a good area to explore on a mountain bike.

 Used Oil Recycling | Your Local Facility - Mildura Fact Sheet
By encouraging Australians to pour their used oil back into an empty oil container and take it to the local used oil facility for recycling, local governments are helping to conserve a valuable resource and protect the environment.
Situated in northwestern Victoria on the Murray River, Mildura is the growing regional centre for an area that produces more than 80% of Victoria's grapes and much of Victoria's citrus fruit, as well as other agricultural industries such as cereals, nurseries, cut flowers, sheep and cattle.
The Council installed four used oil collection facilities at the Mildura, Ouyen, Murrayville and Cullulleraine Waste Facilities in July 2003 and originally estimated that about 9000 litres of used oil would be collected for recycling each year at the Mildura facility.

 Mallee has better than expected grain harvest
The state's major grain handler says it has had to increase storage facilities at Murrayville in the far north-west to cater for record quantities of grain.
He says it is in stark contrast to most places where the harvest has been poor.
Murrayville has actually broken a couple of records this year in terms of the biggest daily receivals and the biggest total receivals which is something we didn't expect to happen," he said.
