The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, recorded a major success in its war against drug trafficking in the country last month when the agency arrested 17 suspects.
Abdullahi Danburam, zonal commander of NDLEA at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, who paraded the suspects before journalists, March 24, said the drug couriers were arrested with a total of 29.485 kilogrammes of cocaine and heroin.
He said 10 of the suspects including three women were intercepted while attempting to export the hard drugs found in their possession to Europe and USA, while the remaining seven suspects were caught importing the drugs into Nigeria from Pakistan.
