As for missing out the first 3 generations, these were the best of generations and we should love all of them, hence me not liking anyone voting them as such.
Besides if i was to include the likes of Kalid bin waleed(Ra), Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqas(ra), ‘Amr Ibn Al-As (ra) then none of the later generals would get a vote.
How can anyone vote for another over a shabai, especailly sahabai of these peoples calibre and skill.
