		Commencing in Sydney in the 1920s, Lye made his films for specific pieces of popular music (jazz, swing, blues, etc.), and like many of the early modern artists who were interested in the synesthesic links between music and abstraction, he explored the relationship between movement in music and the moving image.
		Ed Kuepper’s Music for Len Lye is presented by Queensland Music Festival and Brisbane Powerhouse and is a David Pestorius Project in association with the Len Lye Foundation.
		Having evolved from scores originally written to accompany some of Len Lye’s films, Ed Kuepper’s Music for Len Lye now incorporates a cast of international filmmakers.

		AMERICAN music superstar Neil Diamond has been converted to a Brisbane Lions fan.
		Neil and Melissa Etheridge have recorded a new duet version of Neil's "America" which will be used as theme music for NBC's promotion of the upcoming 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games, to be broadcast February 8-24.
		Diamond, who will play at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 15, met Farley during his 1996 Australian tour when she was marketing his merchandise.

		Since the establishment of the Brisbane City Temple Corps in 1885, music has played a very important part in the proclamation of the gospel, and the witness of the Temple Band that commenced in those days has been faithfully maintained up to the present.
		Bandsman Allen was appointed Deputy Bandmaster of the Brisbane City Temple Band in 1960 and served faithfully as a cornet soloist, touring Australia and New Zealand with the band as well as performing in every major city within these countries.
