The Muskoka District Municipality (more generally referred to as the District of Muskoka, or simply Muskoka) is a regional municipality in Central Ontario that extends from Georgian Bay in the west, to the northern tip of Lake Couchiching in the south, to the western border of Algonquin Provincial Park in the east.
Muskoka is a region sprinkled with picturesque villages and towns, farming communities, and lakeside vacation hotels and resorts near to golf courses, country clubs, and marinas.

Bracebridge (2001 population 13,751) is a town and the seat of the Muskoka District Municipality of Ontario, Canada.
The town was built around a waterfall on the Muskoka River in the centre of town, and is known for its other nearby waterfalls (Wilson's Falls, High Falls, etc).
The town is the seat of the district government, a centre of tourism for the Muskoka area, and home to several historical sites, such as the Inn at the Falls, Woodchester Villa, and the Silver Bridge, which joins Manitoba Street with Ecclestone Drive.

This really is a slap in the face to the mayors of Muskoka, an insult to the people of Muskoka, that this government is going ahead, time-allocating this bill, ramming it through without allowing the mayors the chance to plead their case with the Premier of this province, as he said he would.
