Mutable Realms, even though it was not planned to be made public at first, has allowed current beta testers to suggest new testers for the Ultra Massive Wish.
Mutable Realms today announced another delay to the launch of their Beta Phase Two because they feel the game is not ready yet.
Mutable Realms blessed us with 2 screenshots of the new human player models and horse mounts in their upcoming Ultra Massive game Wish.

While the days of MMOG games being able to take a mulligan with an unstable launch are over, Mutable Realms really needs to make sure the game is stable enough to not require many bug-fix patches when they go live, since they’ll need to demonstrate through implementation that they can pull off the live content.
While they are treading into untested waters rife with the high expectations set by die-hard role-players, Mutable Realms gets a round of applause for attempting to break the genre out of the static quest doldrums the industry is mired with, and attempting a true role-playing experience.
Mutable Realms are starting the second phase of Wish’s beta soon, and look for the game to ship in Q1/’05.

at Mutable Realms I had to review numerous animations, sometimes they were so not what I needed that I put them to music to ridicule them :) this one is for a maintaining balance animation, like when an earthquake event would happen.
My humor is lost on the younger crowd at Mutable Realms, seems that some people have never heard of Leisure Suit Larry.
One of the client programmers at Mutable Realms dyed his hair and beard red, for some reason it reminded me of John Wayne Gacy when he was in his Pogo outfit.

Any way you put it, this is one of those things that sucks for the industry and genre as a whole–all we need are a few more projects to waste millions of dollars and investors will shoot themselves in the face before pouring money into MMOG projects.

I was already skeptical before that Mutable Realms could succeed in creating a seamless world with no zones or shards, but as I noted in my earlier article, we would only know if we try it out.
So I gave them the benefit of the doubt, though signs of trouble were already there before the beta started on Jan. 1, when Mutable Realms sent an e-mail saying that not all accounts would be activated at the same time, due to the overwhelming response to the beta.
As of this writing, Mutable Realms has not explained its decision apart from the announcement it posted.
