These pages are also an opportunity for Web readers at large to share in my thoughts, to help mold them, and to perhaps benefit from them as well.

My Back Pages - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"My Back Pages" is a Bob Dylan song from the album Another Side of Bob Dylan (1964).
It is stylistically similar to his earlier protest songs, with only a solo acoustic guitar, but its lyrics and in particular the refrain ("Ah, but I was so much older then/I'm younger than that now.") seem intended to mark a clear rejection of much of his earlier idealism.

This is to say that my preoccupying, overriding, intellectual interest in blogging was to try to pick the lock on the best way to write in the 'sphere, employing the traditional research method of trial and error.
My subject matter was found almost exclusively among the interests — or obsessions — that lie in the zone between my personal and professional lives.
My hypothesis was that I would gradually derive what particular form of writing works in this specific medium from your response, and hence gain some idea of the writing form(s) the medium itself tends to promote, in turn providing a basis for speculating on the larger potential and meaning of the blogosphere.
