	Jazz offers companionship in a time of solitude - The Boston Globe
		It was city music and young music -- and best of all, it was evil music that my folks thought might make me leave the Baptist Church, the Republican Party, and the neighborhood value system in which shades were always drawn exactly to the middle of the window.
		My instructor has been the Pure Jazz station on Sirius satellite radio, where jazz players themselves put the work to be played in context as did Lurtsema.
		I am listening to my music, the music of my teenage years, with greater concentration, experienced enough to notice the small variations that surprise and delight me. Living alone I have had to develop new rituals, new pleasures, new friends, and the almost always new variations on jazz standards played by different performers.

	My Music Room
		The actual end result: when my music is real loud my wife can hear it one floor below, but two floors below in her office it is virtually inaudible.
		I tested the construction by reversing the normal situation: playing loud music in the main part of the house, and using a wine glass as a stethoscope to see where it was coming into my music room.
		My guess is that their measurement is for sound that is aimed directly at the panel; the reflection we have been dealing with glances off the panel at an angle.

		A brass band is a type of musical group consisting mostly of all brass instruments, often with a percussion section.
		Some traditions have other types of music instruments play in the band like the clarinet or saxophone, however then we have other traditions that do not permit woodwinds as part of a brass band.
		The harp is a fine work of art – it is a musical instrument with multiple strings which is usually tuned to form a scale of some sort.

	A VC: My Music
		My favorite "widget" of all time is the delicious playtagger that puts a flash player next to any mp3 link on my blog.

		My two favorite moments were seeing the photo of the boxer Davey Moore who was killed in the ring and immortalized by this amazing song.

	My Music
		I started this music thing as a hobby over the summer of '04, and I hope to still have more to share when I'm like 80 years old.
		The music you will find here is a smorgasbord of originals and rearrangements done on my Yamaha keyboard that is hooked up to my computer and Cubase/Reason software.
		The "New Music" is the result of growing and learning in all areas of music, marking a higher standard for myself and songs I am proud of at this point in time.

		I store all my music on an external drive, since there's not enough HD on my Powerbook.
		I just bought a new iMac, and in the process of trying to copy my music onto the new computer (via said external hard drive), I realized that the XML files with all my listening statistics weren't on the external hard drive, they were still on the laptop.
		The music files are not in the Trash, there were too many of them.
