The Mysterious Stranger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mysterious Stranger is an unfinished work written by the American author Mark Twain that was worked on periodically from roughly 1890 up until his death in 1910.

Between 1897 and 1908 Mark Twain worked on various versions of this story: "The Chronicle of Young Satan," "Schoolhouse Hill" and "No. 44, The Mysterious Stranger."
