Among its critics The History Channel is sometimes referred to as The Hitler Channel, because it seemed that whenever you turned it on there was Adolf, foaming at the mouth as the robotic ranks of his troops goose-stepped out of the screen into your living room.
The History Channel does this well, but sometimes its insistence on balance and perhaps its fear of offending a segment of its audience is maddening.

As a condition of the merger, the Comedy Channel has agreed to provide the new Comedy TV network with five originally produced programs, and "Mystery Science Theater 3000" is one of them.
The Comedy Channel has an option for two more seasons of "Mystery Science Theater", and Best Brains is planning for rapid expansion.
When the Comedy TV station premieres this spring, "Mystery Science Theater"'s audience will effectively double, and most Twin Citians will be able to get it for the first time since KTMA's demise.

KTLA gained a bit of notoriety among fans of the television show Mystery Science Theater 3000 on November 30, 1991 with the airing of their mockery of the movie War of the Colossal Beast.
On January 22, 1947, it was licensed for commercial broadcast as KTLA, channel 5, becoming the first commercial television station to broadcast west of the Mississippi River.
KTLA is the over-the-air home of the Los Angeles Clippers; the station carried Clippers games from 1984 to 1991, and picked them up again in 2002.
