Computer and video games - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term "computer game" also includes games which display only text (and which can therefore theoretically be played on a teletypewriter) or which use other methods, such as sound or vibration, as their primary feedback device, but there are very few new games in these categories.
The popularity of computer and video games, as a whole, has been increasing steadily ever since the 1984-1987 drop-off caused by the video game crash of 1983, and the popularity appears to be continuing to increase.
Computer and video games have been the subject of frequent controversy and censorship, due to the depiction of graphic violence, sexual themes, advertising, consumption of illegal drugs, consumption of alcohol or tobacco, propaganda, or profanity in some games.

Myth (computer game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Myth II is by far the most popular game in the series (though Myth had better sales during its launch and first few years of life).
Games generally are either "free-for-all" or FFA, where each player has his own army and competes with everyone else, or "Team," where a group of players under the leadership of a captain control different forces within a very large army.
In a strange approach for a computer game, there is little sense of accomplishment in the game's plot- it begins with a sense of futility (owing to a prolonged war), and ends in a rather bittersweet victory.

A myth is a sacred narrative, often thought to be a lesson in story form which has deep explanatory or symbolic resonance for cultures, who preserve and cherish the wisdom of their elders through oral traditions by the use of skilled story tellers.
In sociology, however, a myth may be historical or fictional without altering its nature as myth, because the power of myth lies in the meaning and broader truth it conveys, rather than the historicity of the story.
The term "myth" is sometimes used pejoratively in reference to common beliefs of a culture or for the beliefs of a religion to imply that the story is both fanciful and fictional.

One notable genre of myth is the creation myth, a myth which explains how the Universe we observe was created, usually by God or gods.
Another genre of myth is the Trickster myth, a myth explaining events as the result of pranks or tricks played by one of the gods.

Technically, a computer game is a game composed of a computer-controlled virtual universe that players may interact with in order to achieve a goal (or set of goals).
Computer games are often more powerful than console games because of early market releases of their external architecture and graphics cards.
The popularity of computer and video games, as a whole, has been increasing steadily ever since the 1984-1987 dropoff caused by the video game crash of 1983, and the popularity appears to be continuing to increase.

The word mythology (from the Greek words muthos, meaning a narrative, and logos, meaning a word or argument) literally means the study of myths, or stories of a particular culture that it believes to be true and that use the supernatural to interpret natural events and to explain the nature of the universe and humanity.
Myths are generally narratives based on tradition and legend designed to explain the universal and local beginnings ("creation myths" and "founding myths"), natural phenomena, inexplicable cultural conventions, and anything else for which no simple explanation presents itself.
